Budget travelers will soon have a new hotel option.
And unlike Motel 6, this one will have a complimentary breakfast bagel bar.
On Wednesday, hospitality giant Hilton debuted its 19th brand, Spark by Hilton.
While the company's Waldorf Astoria and Conrad Hotels target high-income guests ...
… this new brand is designed to attract a segment of travelers that has "grown dramatically but lacks consistency," according to Hilton: economy travelers.

"The impetus was the notion that the consumer is evolving post-pandemic," Matt Schuyler, Hilton's chief brand officer, told The Points Guy's Cameron Sperance. "They're traveling in record numbers, but they want to do so on a budget."
To save time and construction costs, Hilton won't be building new properties.
Instead, it will convert existing hotels to fit the new Spark brand.
But no matter the location, Spark's hotel rooms will still have typical amenities like a refrigerator, adjustable desk, and open closet …
… while the common spaces will have a 24-hour market, plenty of seats, and communal tables for remote workers and complimentary breakfast diners.

Nightly rates will be around $85 to $105, The Points Guy reported.
And budget travelers could find themselves staying in a Spark property as soon as this year.
The first few are slated to open this year with another over "100 deals in various stages of development," Alissa Kless, Spark by Hilton's brand leader, said in the press release.
