Samsonite intends to continue to grow with PayPal
“I think that we're really poised for the moment,” Oksman said. He added that the PayPal Pay in 4 product is going to help facilitate growth. “It hits on the intersection of the digitalization of our economy where we don't own our brand, our consumer does – and what they want is flexibility. They believe everything doesn’t have to all be paid today, but over time. I think that has become an important part of the millennial and Gen Z consumer mindset.”
But the consumers also want to know that their information won’t be misused and that there won’t be hidden costs. “I think the No. 1 thing is trust,” Oksman said. “There are multiple options but it’s making sure that I'm willing to provide my information to this partner.”
That’s why PayPal was the perfect fit for Samsonite. Oksman said his team trusts PayPal to get it right, and consumers do, too. A recent survey by Netfluential found that PayPal was the most trusted brand across BNPL payment providers. 2 “ PayPal was certainly a no-brainer from that perspective,” Oksman said.
The pandemic and the economic turmoil that accompanied it may recede into history, but Oksman believes Pay in 4 is here to stay.
“Any consumer that goes through using it will see how it enables them to continue to have the experiences and get the products that they love,” he said. “It will just become second nature and be an important part of their purchasing behavior moving forward.”
PayPal Pay in 4 can help your e-commerce business grow.
