Alaska: Two planes collided during a flight in the United States, killing seven people, including an Alaskan MP.
According to the World News Agency, two small passenger planes collided in the air in the Kenai Peninsula area of the US state of Alaska.
The wreckage of the plane was found in a tree-lined area during the aerial operation. The bodies of seven people were exhumed from the wreckage, including Gary Canop, a 67-year-old member of the Alaska Legislative Assembly. He belonged to the Republican Party. He was flying his own plane which collided with another plane with 6 passengers on board.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has set up a committee of inquiry into the crash of a Member of Parliament's plane into another plane, which will be required to submit its report within 15 days. Leading US political and social figures have lamented the death of the Member of Parliament.
